Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited
The Board of Directors of Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited (MUNPL) has approved the Annual Accounts for FY 2025–26. MUNPL is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and UPRVUNL and operates the 2×660 MW Meja Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
During FY 2025–26, the station achieved commercial generation of 7,744 million units (MU). The plant maintained an Availability Factor of 89.61%, reflecting stable and reliable operations.

In line with its commitment to social responsibility, MUNPL incurred ₹12.714 crore towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. CSR initiatives during the year focused on education, healthcare, women empowerment, vocational training, infrastructure development, renewable energy, and community welfare.
In a significant development for the power sector in Uttar Pradesh, the UP Cabinet has approved the Stage-II expansion of the Meja Thermal Power Project, paving the way for enhanced generation capacity and strengthening long-term energy security in the region.
The Stage-II approval marks a key milestone in MUNPL’s growth trajectory and is expected to scale up operations, improve efficiency, and support the region’s future power demand growth
